Penny-Anne O'Donnell

Breathe Your Way to Calmness© was created by Penny Anne O’Donnell,

a specialist Speech, Language and Voice Therapist based in Warwickshire.

Since graduating from University College London over two decades ago,

Penny Anne has utilised breathing and relaxation techniques in her clinical

practice for both children and adults.

Through her clinical therapy work, she found that her patients recovered far quicker when they were practicing her relaxation ideas.

As time was always short and waiting lists long, Penny Anne developed her Calmness Breathing© technique and found that GPs were referring patients to her for relaxation therapy in addition to speech and language difficulties.

Penny Anne also offers in-house relaxation seminars and presentation skills work for schools and businesses.

In addition to a strong clinical background Penny Anne has a keen interest in the Arts and creative writing. She is a graduate of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and Webber Douglas Drama Academy London. She has a special interest in performers, both adults and children. She is delighted to be an RSC associate. Penny Anne worked on Matilda the musical and supports the choristers of Lichfield Cathedral. She is co- founder of Voice Camp Warwickshire and Sing Stratford where Calmness Breathing© is always popular.

In her earlier career she trained as a journalist and worked with the BBC and Sky News. She also enjoys writing lifestyle health and education pieces for magazines including Hello Magazine.
